Fruit Blooms

The trees are nearing bloom. Each variety blooms at different times. The first to open are apricots and plums, followed by cherries, peaches, pears and the grand finale of the apple blooms. They are beautiful and fragrant. Each bloom needs to be pollinated by a bee, which is why we work with B&B Apiary in Buhl to nest hives in the nearby field. Be nice to the bees please.

Blooms make a great backdrop for photos. We work with a few local photographers that know our property well and work directly with us to understand the best time to enter the orchard so it’s not interrupting other operations.
