(Early season) Duchesse de Nemours, a well-loved heirloom variety, is known for its large (up to 8 inches), highly fragrant, double-flowered blooms. The flowers have a cupped white outer layer and a dense center with a delicate hint of yellow.

(Early season) Cultivated over 170 years ago, Festiva Maxima is a large fragrant white flower with modest flecks of deep crimson inside. Young flower buds are laced in red, making for dramatic blossoming. They have excellent vase life and a lovely fragrance. Flowers can be up to 9” wide

(Mid-season) Gardenia peonies are large, fragrant, fully double flowers that really do resemble their namesake, both in looks and delicious scent. Compact buds open to reveal layers and layers of ruffled, creamy white petals with variable crimson marks and/or a whisper-pink blush.

(Mid-season) Marie Lemione, one of the most handsome peonies, are richly fragrant, very large, lemon-white double flowers suffused with yellow from hidden stamens and staminodes. These beautiful flowers are fluffy when they open, changing from yellow to white with hints of lemon and a few crimson edges.

(Mid-season) Lemon Chiffon peonies are hard-to-find with soft, rich, lemon-yellow petals and a stunning honey gold center. These rare yellow beauties smell incredible!

(Mid-season) Lorilei is a unique, hard-to-find peony prized for its unusual color. They begin with dark buds that spiral open to a gorgeous dark pink-orange and mature to a beautiful array of coral, apricot, and salmon, magnificently multicolored as they transition. The effect is a bouquet of soft colors with a sweet and spicy scent.

(Early season) Coral Sunset peony blossoms emerge with intense coral and rose overtones before gradually fading to salmon, cream and pale ivory as they mature. These large, fragrant blooms have a ruffled boss of deep yellow stamens in the center and are lightly fragrant.

(Mid season) One of the most popular varieties in the Netherlands, Catharina Fontijn is a breath-taking peony with soft pink blooms that transition to white as they age. It's a popular choice for cut flowers because of its beautiful fragrance and sturdy stems.

(Mid-season) Lady Alexandra Duff is delicately fragrant. The double flowers open from deep pink buds and outer petals into large, pale pink and white blossoms, all gracefully adorned with ruffled, delicately yellowed petals in the center.

(Early season) Big Ben peonies are a stunning dark fuchsia and magenta color with highly fragrant blooms. The medium bomb center is framed by large guard petals, and they are celebrated for their extended bloom times.

(Late season ) Loved by American gardeners for well over a century with its large, elegantly ruffled blossoms, Felix Crousse peonies are richly packed with raspberry-red petals and a delicate silvery sheen at their tips.

(Late season) Paul M. Wild is a wildly popular peony described as an opulent, velvety, large, and exceptional peony. The ruby-red to fuchsia flowers are perfectly formed with a lovely, light fragrance.

(Early season) Exceptionally rich in substance and texture, Red Charm’s gigantic deep crimson blooms are made up of a single row of outer petals that surround an explosion of smaller and heavily ruffled petals that expand as the flower opens. Especially enticing is this beauty’s old rose fragrance with just a hint of cloves.
Where to buy
Farm Stand - peony blooms and fruit orchard
Located in the Snake River canyon north of Filer, Idaho, our on-site farm stand is open seasonally.
- Peony blooms start in mid-May.
- Cherries start in mid-June, with apricots in July.
- Peaches, pears, plums, nectarines, apples, tomatoes, cantaloup and watermelon all begin in mid-August with multiple varieties that ripen throughout September into early October.

U-pick & already picked peony blooms
Kelley’s Canyon Orchard is located in the Snake River Canyon. Depending on your cell phone carrier, service is limited.
The Orchard is not a public park, and is a family-owned business…please be respectful.
Pricing is per stem for both U-pick and already picked blooms. There is a $1/person entry fee for the U-pick option. If you would like to inquire about a special order or wholesales, please send us an email. We do not ship.
Parking is available at the on-site stand. Please park in front of the stand, along the drive way without blocking the main drive, or along the paved River Road. Be careful of passing cars. Walking is required to access the peony field.
There is a public restroom and hand washing stations available at the on-site stand.
Payment - We accept cash, checks (with a phone number), and all major credit cards including Apply Pay (subject to a convince fee of 3%).
U-pick peonies:
Unless you have a service animal, please leave your animals at home due to GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) guidelines and protocols.
Before entering the peony field, please STOP at the provided bench and scrape shoes of any stickers or weeds. We are very attentive to keeping unwanted weeds out.
Please bring your own scissors, gloves, and containers. We will wrap your flowers in paper and provide a packet of flower food.
Pick or snip only the flowers you intend to purchase.
Watch out for our friendly pollinating working bees, they are not aggressive yet will sting if provoked!
After you pick your fruit, feel free to take your time in admiring the orchard and take some photos; but be courteous with others also enjoying the experience. You’re encouraged to share your adventure with others as we greatly rely on our community to continue our Century Farm legacy.
