Plum Torte
A few days ago a baking enthusiast visited the orchard looking for Italian Prunes. She told me about a Plum Torte recipe that is one of the New York Times' most popular (published, by demand, every year since 1983).
I decided to give it a try. Walking out and picking this beautiful basket full of fruit took me fewer than 15 minutes. I gathered my ingredients and went to work in Grandma Kelley's kitchen.
I wish I had included plums on the bottom and the top--always more fruit! But besides that modification, the results were delicious! Enjoy!
